Nel borgo di Sansepolcro e nella splendida cornice rinascimentale di Palazzo Pichi Sforza quasi quaranta ritratti di persone, comuni e famose, riprese in due scatti.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 10.7px/normal 'Chaparral Pro'; font-size: 14px; font-family: Helvetica; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:Arial;"&gt;Soggetti ritratti in atteggiamenti e travestimenti diversi, così Monica Silva riflette sia sulla loro personalità che sui fini stessi della fotografia come arte. Da decenni i critici concordano sulla variazione psicologica che porta con sé il ritratto, e in ognuno bisogna considerare la componente psicologica del soggetto, mai del tutto scevra da condizionamenti. Nessuno riesce ad essere completamente naturale di fronte all’obiettivo, anzi, inconsciamente ogni soggetto si modifica in base all’idea che vuole dare di sé, così come la fotografia, da sempre considerata erroneamente la più asettica tra le arti, si sforza di carpire la realtà profonda del mondo. Ne L’io dentro me Monica Silva sottrae il soggetto alla condizione sociale a cui appartiene per restituirlo al suo Io più intimo e naturale. Se Cindy Sherman e Luigi Ontani si travestono per apparire altro da sé, qui i soggetti camuffandosi mettono invece in evidenza un particolare del loro carattere che non possono o non vogliono mostrare in pubblico. Quello della Silva è un relativismo estetico che sprigiona la personalità liberata dal contesto sociale delle persone e dove, con i suoi scatti, le singolarità dei soggetti annullano la tendenza moderna a sentirsi tutti giovani ed uguali. Volti noti come Nicoletta Mantovani, Dolcenera, Filippa Lagerback, Samuele Bersani, Matteo Becucci, Fiona May, Veronica Maya ritratti su sfondo bianco e ripresi in due versioni opposte, a mezzo busto, con macchina fissa in studio e il risultato delle trasformazioni proiettato direttamente sui muri di una delle sale della mostra, attraverso una serie di proiezioni video, dove l’ego nascosto dei soggetti prende forma tramite grafiche generative. Una mostra interattiva dove lo spettatore è protagonista diretto dell’allestimento, attivando con i suoi stessi movimenti video e suoni curati dal visual e interaction designer Gianluca Macaluso. “Fino a che punto si è disposti ad apparire per i quindici minuti di warholiana celebrità?”, è la domanda che si pone l’artista. Provare a cogliere la loro anima nascosta sviluppandola in due scatti, la sua risposta. Una mostra che ci dà l’occasione di indagare e rivelare anche il nostro Io, liberandolo dal contesto sociale che quotidianamente ci condiziona. E’ proprio ciò che prova a stimolare nello spettatore Monica Silva: indagare sulla psicologia della persona, scavando e svelando i suoi lati più reconditi. The exhibition will take place in the tuscany town of Sansepolcro, in the magnificent renaissance Palazzo Pichi Sforza. Almost forty portraits, of common and famous people shot in two different moments.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 10.6px/normal 'Chaparral Pro'; font-size: 14px; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:Arial;"&gt;Subjects portrayed in alternative attitudes and styling, so Monica Silva reflects on both, their personality and on the purpose of photography as art. For decades, critics agree that the psychological variation of change that is shown on a portrait, and for that, it must be considered the psychological component of the subject, never entirely free from constraints. Nobody can be completely natural in front of a camera, actually, each person unconsciously changes based on the worries that they must give the best side of themselves, as well as for photography, always wrongly considered the most sterile of the arts, trying to steal the profound reality of the world. With “My hidden ego” Monica Silva forgets the subject's social conditions  to which they belong, to return to their hidden inner self, a more intimate and natural unknown side. If cindy Sherman and Luigi Ontani disguise themselves to look something else, here the subjects however, shows a detail of their character that can not or will not show in public. Silva’s concept of the aesthetic relativism, which releases the figures from their social context and where, with her shots, she searches for the singularities of the subjects, is to cancel the modern tendency to feel young and all in one look mass. Familiar faces like Nicoletta Mantovani, Dolcenera, Filippa Lagerback, Samuele Bersani, Matteo Becucci, Fiona May, Veronica Maya were portrayed on white background, in two opposite looks, medium cut shots, with camera still, in studio, and the result is displayed directly onto the walls of the exhibition, through a series of video projections, where the subject and their hidden ego takes shape through generative graphics. An interactive exhibition where the viewer is the director of the changing of the characters, turning on its own motion with video and sound effects developed by the visual and interactive designer Gianluca macaluso. “How far are we willing to push ourselves to the Warholian famous theory for fifteen minutes of fame?” This is the question done by the artist. Use the photography media to capture their hidden soul and reveal it in two shots, is the response. An exhibition that gives us the opportunity to investigate and discover our ego and put it into the whole process, freeing us from the social context that we are affected daily. What monica Silva wants to stimulate in the viewer is their curiosity to investigate the psychology of the subjects photographed, digging and uncovering their hidden sides.
